******* Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update *******

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (MAPC) is implementing best practices to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Currently the Ronald Reagan Building at 271 W 3rd Street is closed to the public. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 20-29 from Kansas Governor Kelly, all mass gatherings of more than 10 people are prohibited.

As a result, case applications to be considered by the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals or Subdivision Committee can be submitted through the mail or online and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and heard once regularly-scheduled Commission meetings resume. (See "Application Forms" below under "Major Documents>Miscellaneous".) Electronic signature will be accepted.

Development Review meetings are still cancelled since the Ronald Reagan building is closed to the public.  However, if you wish to discuss a property, contact Scott Wadle or Dave Yearout and we will arrange for a video conference, or other means to make that discussion happen.

*Applications cannot be processed without payment in full. Payment can be made with a check (by mail), or credit card (over the phone). Pickup of Development Application signs can be arranged by appointment.

Wash Your Hands Often

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

How may we help you?
